Thisisoneofthefirstvolumestobepublishedintheseriesof Chapman and Hall Chemistry Sourcebookswhichprovidescarefullytailoredinformationtoworkersin specializedareasofchemistry.Theinformationcontainedinthisbookisderivedfromthe Dictionary of Organometallic Compounds,publishedinNovember1984. Theorganometalliccompoundsofcobalt,rhodiumandiridiumconstituteanimportant classoforganometallics:notonlydotheymeritstudyintheirownrightbuttheyarealso increasinglyusedbothascatalystsandaslaboratoryreagentsinorganicsynthesis. His thereforeanticipatedthatthisparticularcompendiumwillreachawidereadership. Thedatabankonthepropertiesoforganometalliccompounds,whichisrepresentedin itscurrentformbythe Dictionary of Organometallic Compoundsanditssubset publicationssuchasthisvolume,willbekeptcontinuouslyup-to-date.
