This new edition has been improved in three important areas: several large data sets have been included; much of the discussion appearing in the first three editions has been expanded, revised and further clarified; additional student exercises and been incorporated. The emphasis continues to be on an intuitive understanding of principles rather than an understanding based on mathematical sophistication.
