Description

How can we best prepare the next generation for a future which is becoming increasingly difficult to predict? This book argues that the educational curriculum is society's means of preparing children for participation in that future. From infant school to Ph.D., from religious education to social administration, it aims to provide a comprehensive critique of the curriculum. The author addresses the question: are we teaching the next gereration properly? The answer, in his view, is "no", as the curriculum is still rooted in the past and has yet to respond to changes in society.
