内容説明
The introduction of accurate, computer-assisted measurements of cardiac function has shown that beat-to-beat fluctuations of circulatory parameters (heart-rate, blood-pressure, etc) can no longer be attributed to deficiencies in the measurement techniques. Some fluctuations, for example, some oscillatory phenomena in heart-rate variability, have been shown to arise from control activity. In this volume the editors have assembled a series of articles that describe the physiology of electrical activity in the heart and of the baroreceptor reflex, the accurate and reliable measurement techniques that are now available, the analysis modelling, and clinical implications of beat-by-beat fluctuations.
目次
- PART I: Physiology: Electrophysiology of the heart
- Neurophysiology of the baroreceptor reflex. PART II: Measurement techniques: Measurement of blood pressure
- The measurement of myocardial blood flow. PART III: Analysis and modelling: Accuracy aspects of ECG-preprocessing for the study of heart-rate variability
- The dynamic behaviour of the time intervals in the ECG
- Beat-by-beat interrelationships between heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration. PART IV: Clinical applications: Beat-by-beat analysis of left ventricular haemodynamic variables
- Automatic control of blood pressure by drug infusion
- Cardiovascular reactivity and mental work-load
- New trends in the application of heart-rate variability analysis.
