Description and Table of Contents

Description

One of the major issues in medical informatics is that of ``individual care''. The aim of this volume is to stimulate a wider awareness of the problems involved, by presenting the latest developments and discussing their implications. Topics examined include health monitoring programs in France, Japan and the USA, the relationship between patient monitoring and medical practice in the community, laboratory analysis, the use of expert systems/artificial intelligence, and self-testing.
