Description and Table of Contents
Description
These proceedings focus on the current status of the progress in high energy physics, as explored at the international conference held in May, 1990. The purpose of the conference was to investigate how the standard model manifests itself in high energy and nuclear physics. The book is divided into five parts. The first two parts focus on experimental and theoretical aspects of particle phenomenology. Part three is on the very recent developments in the physics of 2+1 dimensions. The fourth part covers selected topics in cosmology, astrophysics and gravitation and the last part contains some perspectives on the future of particle physics.
