内容説明

This book examines the relationship between law and public policy in Australia. It begins with a study of legislation, a somewhat neglected aspect of legal learning. The author argues that to understand legislation one must examine the conditions in which it is made, the legal form it takes, how it it is implemented, and what impact it has. He then turns his attention to the courts and addresses matters such as who uses them, what issues are brought before them, how social issues have to be cast in legal terms to be litigated, how the courts deal with cases, and the impact their decisions have on society. Readership: lawyers, especially those concerned with legislation in Australia.
