内容説明
In Our Food, Our Land, Richard Body analyses the changes in our farming and food industries over the last 50 years, demonstrating that intensive farming has poisoned our soil, which can only lead to crop failure unless we switch to more organic techniques. Through detailed financial analysis he shows that government subsidies and guaranteed prices, far from helping farmers, have driven many off the land or forced them to adopt factory farming methods which are both abhorrent and result in food of dubious quality. Finally, it offers a prescription for land management which is economically sound and guaranteed to improve the quality of the countryside and our diet. The overriding message of this book is that if we don't restore the condition of our land we cannot expect to survive.
