Quantum field theory is not only one of the most rapidly developing areas of contemporary physics, but it is also full of problems of great theoretical and philosophical interest. This collection discusses quantum field theory from a wide variety of standpoints. The contributors explore its mathematical structure extensively and work throuh its metaphysical and methodological implications in detail. The study is the first systematic attempt at the exploration of the nature and implications of quantum field theory. The contributors are: Michael Redhead, James T.
