Description and Table of Contents

Description

In the past five years the two major areas of cellular transformation and tumorigenesis, chemical and physical tumorigenesis on the one hand and the investigation of tumor viruses on the other, have undergone extraordinary unification. This is mainly due to the discovery that the mechanisms of transformation are closely related. In both cases agents act via a limited number of proto-oncogenes. This volume brings together reviews from both areas, giving exceptional insight into the past and future work that has been explained and stimulated by this new framework.
