内容説明
Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) implies a restructuring of manufacturing industry to form an information-centered economy. Many small enterprises often work as suppliers to large manufacturers which are in the process of introducing CIM. In the short or long term the supplier will be forced to introduce CIM since construction specifications, test procedures, manufacturing programmes etc. will be part of the contract and will be transmitted electronically. Only those who can adapt flexibly to change will survive. The papers from this conference illustrate the state of the technology and allow for comparison between US and European developments. The aim is not to further isolate information technology and communication at the expert level but rather to deepen the understanding of CIM concepts in production enterprises of all types.
目次
Communication and Standardization in the Context of a Global CIM Concept (G. Schroder). CIM, Data and Standardization within the NBS AMRF (D.A. Swyt). Perspectives of the European Applicant: Interaction between Logistics and CIM Systems in the Company Structure (G. Handke). Planning, Justification and Implementation of a CIM Solution (A.S. Liss). Robotics in CIM - A Natural Approach (E. Hardegaard). CIM: Fact or Fiction? (B. O'Malley). Procedures in Software Development for the Integration of Complex Applications in Manufacturing (M. Klute).
