Description and Table of Contents
Description
For this expanding information - based technological society, this timely volume is a source of many new ideas and authoritative exposition of techniques which are central to the theory of fuzzy logic and its applications to knowledge-based systems, decision and control. This exposition has been provided by some thirty-two researchers from fifteen countries. In particular, the articles in this volume deal with the theory of fuzzy logic and its applications to knowledge-based systems and decision and control problems, covering a broad spectrum of topics ranging from classification structures and computer vision to team decision problems, forecasting and statistics. They clarify some of the outstanding problems, introduce new concepts and techniques, and point to novel applications.
