This provides an overview of the uses and problems associated with contrast media, with particular reference to the new non-ionic and low-osmolar contrast media. In the early chapters, the emphasis is on the laboratory aspects, while the later part concentrates on the clinical aspects, although there is some overlap between the two halves of the book. The author has included a chapter on paramagnetic contrast agents, but has not included ultrasonic or oral agents.
