Description and Table of Contents
Description
Facet analysis is a method of applying mathematically-derived concepts to the study of social and behavioral topics. Developed in the mid-1950's to provide researchers with the tools necessary to rigorously define whatever subject or universe they were exploring, facet analysis greatly facilitates the replicability of research -a primary ingredient in the accumulation of scientific knowledge. This text, intended for students of social and behavioral sciences, takes the reader through the entire facet analytical process. Throughout the text, examples are drawn from the literature in psychology, political science, and sociology. Students wishing to further expand their knowledge are provided with a comprehensive bibliography.
