Description

Insects in Camera is about the behaviour of insects, the most successful animals on Earth. It contains 287 colour photographs of live insects from 5 continents - some of the subjects have never been photographed before. It is a readable and wide-ranging account of the many ways insects solve the problems of being alive, designed to appeal to layman and specialist alike. Insect behaviour is interpreted in the light of recent theoretical work - the book includes many new observations on insect lifestyles, and is based firmly on an evolutionary approach.
