内容説明
Immune disturbances associated with AIDS allow a wide variety of central and peripheral nervous system injuries to occur. This book examines the effects of HIV infection and the resulting AIDS virus on the nervous system. In compiling this reference on the neurological lymphomas of this major disease topics have been included on pathology, diagnosis, treatment and current efforts to manage the disease, high risk groups, opportunistic infection, neurological disease in neonates and infants, primary lymphomas, demyelinating disease etc. The authors have tried to focus mainly on the neurologic diseases and disturbances that appear in individuals with AIDS, appropriate courses of management for these neurologic problems, probable complications, and usual prognosis. The work should be of interest to neurologists, neurosurgeons, pathologists, infectious disease clinicians and researchers, public health doctors, family physicians and interns and residents. for those unfamiliar with the basic mechanisms underlying and associated with AIDS, the chapters on the character, epidemiology, and prevention of AIDS should provide useful perspectives.
