内容説明

The book looks at aspects of capitalist enterprise in South Africa. Its introduction traces its progress in the subcontinent from the early colonial era to the present age of the great multi-billion rand corporation. While Arthur Webb examines the progress of the first colonial bank in the Eastern Cape and Stanley Chapman the wider international context, the bulk of the book focuses on capitalist enterprise in the 20th century and the way in which South African development has mirrored that in other advanced capitalist economies.
