Description and Table of Contents
Description
The second publication in this facsimile series is one of the latest operas to be included. As with each of the scores, the publication includes the libretto, a summary of the plot, iconographic materials, bibliographies and appendices. The introductory material is in both French and English. With very few exceptions (included for the sake of historical completeness),none of the works are available today in full score. The series will provide a comprehensive panorama of the history of French opera from its origins to the end of the 18th Century.
