内容説明
One of the most time-honored issues in the history of psychology is addressed in this book: the links among the three components of the ancient "trilogy of the mind" - affect, cognition and conation. Affect is now one of the more prominent areas of investigation in contemporary psychology, especially in its relationship with cognition. This book contrasts and integrates some of the most promising theories and research dealing with the cognitive and behavioural implications of affective states. In particular, it deals with the emerging pluralism and diversity of theorizing about affect, as well as the growing number of practical implications of this work. The focus here is on modern trends and developments, considered within the relevant historical context.
