Description and Table of Contents

Description

This book describes displaying perspective views of three- dimensional solid objects by means of an interactive program called D3D (Designing in 3 Dimensions). D3D includes an efficient algorithm for the elimination of hidden lines and has been used to produce the many illustrations appearing in the book. D3D has been written in the C language and can be executed on any IBM (compatible) PC that has a graphics adapter. Interactive 3D Computer Graphics aims to demonstrate what users of solid modelling packages can accomplish, to enhance programming skills and to promote a practical approach to creating computer graphics. (The source code of the software is included in the book, and for convenience is also available on disk).
