内容説明

Written for the individual who has $1,000 or $100,000 to invest in municipal bonds, this book shows how to obtain a higher return from municipal securities either from the initial purchase or from better management of existing investments in municipal bonds. It reviews, in simple, nontechnical language, the different types of municipal bonds available in the marketplace, pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of each, discussing how the Tax Reform Act of 1986 affects investing in municipal bonds. Many practical suggestions are provided which apply to municipal investments, resulting in higher tax-free returns, reduced security risk and a better municipal portfolio. Also included is a detailed study of the birth of a bond, showing why the bond was issued, what underwriters do and how bonds are sold.
