Description and Table of Contents

Description

This textbook adopts a new approach to crop production in that it brings together the principles of crop production through linking scientific background with practical work. This approach is particularly helpful to the needs of undergraduate and diploma students of agriculture for whom the physical, chemical and biological sciences form the basis of most courses. All the major aspects of crop production are covered, from the choice of site and plant material to harvesting. The examples are taken mainly from temperate crops but reference is also made to tropical ones.
