Description
This is an account of the clinical assessment of valve disease with emphasis on the problems likely to occur. It also gives a critical appraisal of the diagnostic techniques available together with practical advice on the use of these techniques. Particularly, the authors discuss the structure and function of the normal heart, the techniquies used for investigating valve disease and a review of their application, the effect of valvular heart disease on ventricular practice and the use of non-invasive techniques in the diagnosis of valvular heart disease, and prosthetic valve dysfunction.
