Description
Complete coverage of fundamentals is provided in this introduction to BASIC which also offers a structured approach to advanced topics. Data and file structures as well as programming skills are introduced through the use of block diagrams, making it easier to see linear program flow and to transport algorithms to other languages. Appendices include subroutine calls, memory locations peek and poke, a simulation of matrix commands, editing and renumbering commands and routines for changing programs together. The book also contains simulated structured programming constructs that promote good programming habits independent of Applesoft, with exercises and solutions based on these constructs, plus chapter summaries and lists of Applesoft commands at the end of each chapter for quick reference.
