Description
This major atlas has been based on the Peters Project, a new approach to cartography which covers the entire world on the same scale, unlike former atlases which had a European bias. True sizes and areas can now be compared for countries in all parts of the globe. The atlas contains maps which show topographical, political and vegetation information based on the latest satellite technology. Over 200 additional thematic maps survey the Earth's social, economic, cultural and anthropological make-up.
