Description

These essays are taken from a conference on the thoughts of Michail Kalecki, held at Perugia, Italy in April 1986. The purpose of the conference was to evaluate the relevance of his theory in relation to current economic debate and to examine its influence on contemporary thought. The collection of papers reflect a wide spectrum of opinions and range among the most relevant aspects of Kalecki's work; from the relationship with other authors to the microfoundations of macroeconomics and to the theory of income distribution; from the monetary theory to his composite approach to the economic policy; from the theory of business cycles to the long-run dynamics of the capitalist economies to the problems involved in the socialist planning.
