Description

This is a wide-ranging textbook for those involved in the diagnosis of cause and management of pain, with contributions from over 100 specialists worldwide. It deals with the nature of pain, covers diseases in which pain predominates and goes on to discuss clinical and therapeutic aspects. This edition has been revised and updated in line with the latest research and advances in treatment and includes new chapters on "the failed back" and "pain in children" and includes 31 new contributors. It should be of interest to anaethetists, psychiatrists, neurologists and phsiotherapists.
