内容説明
This study attempts to describe the theoretical background of a social democratic society, and examines the historical factors which influenced the development of the Swedish system. The author also examines the main features of Swedish economic institutions and policies, collective bargaining and the labour market, Sweden's network of voluntary organizations which reinforce the country's cultural values, and the level and quality of public services. The book argues that the political economy of Swedish social democracy has proven itself resilient, and concludes that the real challenge is a cultural one, which allows the Swedish people to continue to act in accordance with its precepts.
