Description

This is an expanded and updated version of the 1978 compilation, which defines and supplies a condensed characterization of the currently established zeolite structure types. New types of microporous solids, such as aluminophosphate molecule sieves based on tetrahedral frameworks, have expanded the field of zeolites and zeolite-like materials. The number of known and topologically distinct tetrahedral networks has risen to 64 and is expected to continue to increase at the rate of at least three per year. The numerous new materials and the advent of modern methods of structure solving, in particular powder techniques including ab initio structure determinations and Rietveld refinements, have made this rapid advance possible.
