This volume comprises of papers presented at a conference on Japanese commercial law held at University College, London, in September 1987. A distinguished panel of contributors from both London and Tokyo consisted of lawyers, economists and government officials. Under a section on banking law, the liberalization of the Japanese market is examined along with special aspects of Japanese banking transactions, security rights and negotiable instruments.
