Description

Blood and vascular disturbances and associated gastrointestinal ischemia caused by trauma, illness, or as a result of some perfusion procedures during cardiac surgery can be the cause of life-threatening reactions. This book draws on contributors from around the world to bring together all the elements that lead to circulatory disruption, septicemic shock and multiple organ failure. It discusses and evaluates the preventative and interventionist management of these life-threatening conditions in critical care.
