内容説明

This study examines the performance of the Unlisted Securities Market since its inception in 1980 on the basis of the actual experiences of firms listed there. It explores the relationship between the expectations aroused by the USM and the reality of its operation, drawing on original research in the field and examining issues such as the efficiency of the admission procedures, the financial attractions to entrants and whether the USM is truly a breakthrough in the operation of capital markets. The authors compare the British experience with development overseas, particularly in France and the USA, to provide an assessment of the role of the USM in industrial rejuvenation. The text should be of interest to all those active in the venture capital markets as well as industrial economists and financial managers.
