The rise of the Greens within the political system of the Federal Republic has attracted considerable interest outside Germany. Although relatively small in numbers, they are seen to have become a force to be reckoned with in West Germany's political life. This volume is the first to look at the organization of the Party and at various policies in the areas such as "Ostpolitik", economics an their relationship with other parties. There is also included a view from within offered by the Green Party's General Secretary.
