内容説明
The essays in this book address a range of issues of the moment and although ranging widely across the field of aesthetic education have a strong sense of identity. A commitment to the unique role of the arts in education as ways of knowing is made clear. The educational importance of direct creative and imaginative engagement with the processes of artistic forming and reception as in themselves providing necessary and sufficient justification for the arts in schools is stressed.
