Description
This volume provides reviews and reports by leading world-known scientists on the recent advances in toughening science and technology. It addresses the development of theoretical and practical approaches of toughness improvements for both thermosets and thermoplastics. The 21 chapters of the book are divided into five sections covering: the development of rubber-toughened plastics, fracture mechanics and failure mechanism vs. toughness, morphology and mechanical property vs. toughness, chemistry and physics vs. toughness, and application.
