This book deals with many of the main issues concerned with legal services. Written by the National Consumer Council, the book is aimed at the legal profession, and its recommendations point to ways of opening up the legal system, and of making it cheaper, quicker and fairer for the consumer. In other words the book is concerned with making "ordinary justice" a reality for the consumer, from a system that is at present seen as inaccessible, mysterious and slow.
