Description
This book will show medical students and other medical and clinical personnel how to perform a clinical examination in the infant or child who has a surgical condition. Instead of focusing on the pathological classification and overall management of disease, this book aims to provide the practical details of how a diagnosis is made. It includes detailed coverage of the usual presentations of common diseases, but does not attempt to cover all aspects of the presentations of uncommon diseases unless their recognition is important for the well-being or survival of the child. Mr Beasley was runner-up in the 1986 prize of the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons, presenting his paper in 1987 in Dublin.
