内容説明
In this handy little `atlas' of lifts, now in its third edition, the author provides the nurse and allied health professional with techniques to ensure lifting methods that are safer for both patient and lifter. The first part of the book describes physical and mechanical aspects, and in Part 2 the lifts and their variations are illustrated and detailed. A guide to selecting the appropriate lift for circumstances is tabulated for quick reference. The individual or team responsible for moving, lifting and positioning patients will find this book an invaluable aid, in both hospital and community. In the new edition, a new chapter on ` Biomechanics ' (co-authored by S. S. Kitchen) has been added as have sections on ` Mechanics in water .' All the group exercise chapters have been revised.
