In its first and second editions this book has rapidly established itself as an invaluable guide to the daunting experience of teaching practice. The third edition contains new material dealing with disruptive behaviour in schools, and management and control in the classroom. The authors now deal with both Primary and Secondary teaching and appraise GCSE courses of study. They have added an Appendix on computers in schools, and consider the New Right' in connection with future developments in education.
