Description

This book deals with the connections and possible avenues for further research on the connections between history and psychology. The direct focus is on three major topic areas: religious ecstasy, literacy and emotion. It presents historically-oriented discussions behavioural scientists have only recently engaged in. It thus encourages a new sense of interdisciplinary exchange, particularly in the areas of the history of mentalities and the history of religion. The book also raises larger issues of theory.
