This reference manual gives a full account of the appearances of the endometrium during the menstrual cycle, under the effects of hormones, the changes induced by steroid contraceptives and intrauterine devices, in functional disorders, and in inflammatory disease. Particular attention is given to the various forms of endometrial hyperplasia and neoplasia, with special emphasis placed upon the differential diagnosis of these conditions. Other chapters deal with sampling techniques, and the anatomy and histology of the normal endometrium, the endometrium in normal and abnormal pregnancy, and in gestational and trophoblastic disease.
