Description

A collection of essays by contributors including Norman Buchan, David Craig, Douglas Dunn and Andrew Noble. They examine the effect of a Scottish upbringing on the work and politics of Byron. Assessing both his apparent radical liberalism and his position in high society, this book concludes that early experience of Scottish language and religion did have an influence on his later poetry and politics.
