Nearly a thousand species of trees found in Nigeria, including many of the introduced species, are listed and described in this book. It presents a revision of Nigerian Trees (1960, 1964) and includes all subsequent changes in nomenclature and classification as well as some 1500 vernacular names and vocabularies. This book will be of value to botanists generally, and to all who are concerned with West African plants, especially to those in forestry, agriculture, and wildlife services.
