Description and Table of Contents

Description

Differing from others in its scope and design, this book is aimed at helping students see the beauty and unity of physics. The emphasis in all parts is towards developing understanding and intuition. It is a collection of topics which the author believes all students in physical sciences should want to study before doing research orientated speciality courses. Whereas much space is given to developing the needed tools, much is also given to developing new ideas about physics and nature. The book will benefitthose those doing a graduate course in quantum mechanics for physicists and chemists; also physicists working in particle physics and computational physics; nuclear scientists and atomic physicists.
