Description and Table of Contents
Description
This is the first collection of new and previously printed theoretical and empirical studies on James David Barber's theory of American Presidential behavior. Barber's theory is presented along with critiques, empirical tests, and case studies, so that an evaluation of this psychological approach to the presidency may be made. Barber's accurate predictions on the Nixon and Reagan presidencies lend additional support to his theory which was formulated some twenty years ago. In the Nuclear Age concerned citizens need to be able to assess the psychological orientation of presidential candidates. This reader is designed to assist in that goal.
