Description and Table of Contents
Description
Over the last ten years the emphasis in periodontal therapy has changed markedly and treatment is more firmly based on preventive concepts. Surgical techniques are used only very selectively with emphasis being placed on conservation of both soft and hard tissue. Prior periodental treatment is increasingly used as part of a combined treatment plan involving both restorative and prosthetic dentistry. The aim of this new edition is to present up-to-date theoretical concepts about periodontal disease and to relate these to treatment procedures.
