Description
Examines the measurement of the creation of additional jobs by multinational enterprises. The book looks at the generation of jobs for their suppliers of raw materials, components and subcontractors ("backward" linkages) and further up-stream in sales, distribution, marketing, repairs and spare parts manufacturing ("forward" linkages). Existing approaches are analyzed and suggestions presented for measuring these and other questions related to the indirect employment effects of multinational enterprises.
