The "Changing Geography of Africa" is a new book by the author of the standard A-level text "Africa". Adopting a thematic rather than a regional approach to its subject, this book has been written in line with current A-level syllabus requirements. The book comprises thoroughly updated chapters on Africa, alongside five full chapters of new material, taking account of recent changes and development processes in Africa. It takes a wide-ranging view of the African continent, focusing particularly on topics such as: physical and human patterns, attempts at industrialization and agricultural modernization, and the critical nature of most African economies today.
