内容説明
This book is devoted to the physiology of lymphoid cells of thymic origin (T lymphocytes). It covers major advances made worldwide over the last few years in exploring the mechanisms of foreign and self antigen recognition, its regulation, and the expression of multiple immune functions by the various T-lymphocyte subsets in inbred animals and in man independently of B cells and of antibody formation. It describes, in particular, new methodologies devised by the author and his colleagues, and presents several new concepts that have direct relevance to the enhancement or suppression of individual components of the immune response. This book, which covers diversified knowledge on immune recognition, is intended for researchers in immunology, oncology, molecular biology, virology and cytology, as well as for transplantation specialists and for clinicians concerned with immunopathology.
目次
- The major histocompatibility complex (MHC), and the involvement of its products in antigen recognition
- T-lymphocytes precursors and their antigen-dependent differentiation
- T-T-lymphocytes interaction during immunorecognition
- regulatory (suppressor and effector (killer) T-lymphocyte subsets - generation, biologic characteristics, cellular interactions and mechanisms of action
- antigen-binding receptors of T-lymphocytes.
