The unified approach to the detailed analysis of large alternating current machines is now well established; it is used regularly in conjunction with computer simulation techniques for the prediction of the dynamic performance of machines and systems. This book presents the basic principles of this unified method along with streamlined computer programs in order to facilitate rapid problem solving. The various purposes to which this analysis may be applied are discussed and references are included to a number of different machine problems and case studies. Included are recent advances in computerized modeling techniques for solving complex problems in analyzing synchronous and asynchronous machine systems.
